Monicah Weds Edward
February 12, 2021 saw a beautiful day come to pass one of love, one of promises and vows, one of living happily ever after and of happy future and of sticking around despite the riches and the poverty, sickness and health, in sorrow and happiness.
The holy mass, which started at 1030 hours at Our Lady of Visitation, Makadara Parish – Nairobi and was Celebrated by Rev Fr Kimani [Father in Charge] and concelebrated by Rev Dr. Fr. John Ndikaru wa Teresia, who gave a relevant touching homily to the young couple. Touched greatly on patience, time and modern controversial issues as wealth and money. The wise words also poured to the families of the newly wedded.
The bridal party consisting of 10, was a household of 8 alumni as well as the most of the congregant and the very able organizing committee. The wedding ceremony was in all a well-rehearsed, choreographed and outstandingly performed piece of theatre. Every move graceful and planned. Our very own Catalan dancers animated the event.
The lively reception was very much involving and energizing. The lively songs, the small games, the beautiful positive rivalry and the big smiles were comforting, assuring and as I would say inspiring the future.
The couple, newly married are proud alumni of the young catholic students (TUK-YCS) And actually met in the same group during their days. Both served in different capacities; Edward as the chair of the group then in his final year 2015, Monica as the secretary in 2018.
For us who had the privilege to serve with or under them, one thing is evident; love is a journey and were all travelers in their own way, based on the lord, it will definitely attain fruition.
May there be a happily ever after Edward and Monica- just wedded!
